They are both wonderful movies and close to my heart because I'm an Israeli. (I've been living in the States for almost 30 years with my American-born husband.)
Both movies are not easy to watch, and, basically, unrelenting. The early movie portrays two people who might have been happy with other spouses, but together they create a life which is hell on earth for each other and for their four (not three) children. The apartment house where they live (a typical one for lower middle-class Israelis in the 70s) adds to the feeling of tightness, almost hard to breathe atmosphere. My husband has just come home while I was watching the movie and asked me about it, and I told him it was about hell on earth.avidreaderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04835957280019940348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6146286857215408059.post-26819060510129074792015-11-09T11:47:46.388-08:002015-11-09T11:47:46.388-08:00No, didn't see "Fake or Fortune," bu...No, didn't see "Fake or Fortune," but sounds like something I would like. Will see if I can get it from the library. My ex was a very good artist and Vermeer was one of his fav painters. Girl With A Red Hat we both loved and were able to see it in Washington. I love any movie or book about paintings or museums. Did you catch "Fake Or Fortune" on PBS? They had some fascinating stories.

I could benefit from your book recommendation. Don't we all have body issues? Any help I can get for that I will take!

sazzyUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11889893961539319711noreply@blogger.com
