Now I am going to help the wine industry and have a glass of wine! :)Rosy Brewerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17156447894512749413noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6146286857215408059.post-87317456692702607442016-06-16T13:32:23.823-07:002016-06-16T13:32:23.823-07:00So much to comment on here. I read the book for book club, and must have been the only person in the room who didn't like it. I just hate books that manipulate their readers to squeeze emotions out. We are not all predictable googly, romantic sops. Nyah…leaving this one unseen.

I watched A Royal Night Out on the plane recently, and enjoyed it. But I agree…the appreciate audience for this is probably quite small! I did find it a bit disconcerting to see Rupert Everett play the old king. To me he will always be Julia Robert's adorable best guy friend in My Best Friend's Wedding.

Thank you for reminding us about the process of wine-making and the number of people (and facilities) that need to be paid to get that splash of Chardonnay in my glass. It's not just sustenance…it's ART!

And lastly…a FICTION book? Wow…you're branching out. This one sounds like it is right up my alley. The whole "Mother drains the children's inheritance to take care of one child, to the chagrin of the other children", hits very close to home for me! I have to keep reminding myself that inheritance is not a birthright and it is not my money to make decisions about. Nevertheless, I still get resentful. Sounds like this might be a good book for me to read because there are many perspectives on this situation.

Enjoyed your reviews so much this week!Susan Sprickmannoreply@blogger.com
